1/ I joined @NVIDIA to follow Jensen Huang to events across Europe leading up to GTC Berlin. I also had the opportunity to speak with Jensen Huang personally and record an interview. A once-in-a-lifetime chance that fills me with deep gratitude. And of course, I also met some really great people in real life, like @petergostev. I put together this map to show the European tour I got to join. The mini Jensens pop up at each stop as the red line traces our route:
Paris → London → Stockholm → Berlin.
Why Berlin? Because the GTC would start in Berlin the following week, and thus Berlin became the focal point as early as the Friday before.
Let me therefore give you a brief summary of the journey, which was life-changing for me.
*PARIS*
We started in France. Around the Paris visit, NVIDIA announced planned investments in Doctolib, Entalpic, Genesis AI and Pigment, working across healthcare, materials discovery, robotics and business planning.
And of course, France plays arguably the most important role in Europe: not only does it attract billions in investments within Europe, but it also has significant AI labs, such as Mistral, as well as a well-positioned energy supply as a nation. In that respect, it's a sensible starting point.
We attended the Build-a-Claw event and it was good to see that it was aimed at beginners who were coming into contact with Agentic AI for the first time.
NVIDIA also presented other French projects: Bull's planned European production of Vera Rubin Ultra systems starting in 2028, a sovereign AI platform for banks with SBS, and an open-source working group with Fondation Inria. The presentation also included projects that are already underway.
This European tour is only one part of Jensen’s travels around the world this year. Across the US, Asia and beyond, he and NVIDIA have been working with the people building the AI industry. Where AI is, Jensen goes.
