💠 Opal shines on in Skills! 💠
When we launched Opal in Google Labs, it was an experiment to learn how you customize your workflows. Your incredible creativity taught us so much — first inspiring Gems made by Labs, and today, supporting the global launch of skills in @GeminiApp! ✨
Skills are a faster way to automate repetitive tasks and save custom instructions right in chat - built from the learnings we had from Opal. As skills roll out globally, we will be saying a bittersweet farewell to Opal. The experiment will be shutting down on Nov 17, 2026.
Whether you built mini-apps on https://t.co/YOHh8P89yg or tried Gems in Gemini, thank you for shaping the future of customizable AI. Opal lives on in every skill you build next. 💙
