Assoc Prof Joanne Ngeow from @NTU_LKCMedicine has won the Senior Scientist category of the ASEAN-U.S. Science Prize for Women 2026.

A clinician-scientist, she uses genomics and precision medicine to improve understanding of inherited cancers and translate research into more personalised patient care. This year’s prize recognises women scientists using artificial intelligence to advance inclusive healthcare and strengthen healthcare resilience across ASEAN.

“As a clinician and scientist, I am driven by the distance between what we can discover and what we can change for patients,” she said.

The award was presented at the 90th Meeting of the ASEAN Committee on Science, Technology and Innovation in Da Nang.
