At The Information's WTF Summit, Anthropic's Head of Public Affairs @SarahKHeck explained the company's position on chip export controls.
"The easiest way to do that is to just not give them our best chips. It's very simple."
"I think if you believe that China is somewhere between 6 and 12 months behind us, they're not going to be able to build chips fast enough to close that gap."
