GitHub 2026 年 9 月记录了 73.8 亿次提交，是一年前同期的 5 倍多。为承接智能体生成代码的激增，GitHub 今年新增了 400 万个 CPU 核、160PB 高速存储和 50Tb/s 网络带宽。8 月 17 日一次流量洪峰曾导致认证、Actions、pull requests 和 Copilot 中断 7 小时 47 分钟。GitHub 目前正迁移到多区域 Azure 部署，预计明年初完成，并重写 Git 以解耦存储与计算。

GitHub recorded 7.38 B commits in Sept-2026, more than 5 times the figure a year earlier.
And up to now this year, GitHub has added 4M CPU cores, 160PB of high-speed storage and 50Tb/s of network capacity to absorb a flood of agent-written code.
That curve already outran GitHub’s hardware once, when a traffic surge knocked out authentication, Actions, pull requests and Copilot for 7 hours and 47 minutes on 17 August.
GitHub is now moving to a multi-region Azure deployment, due to finish early next year, and rebuilding Git to decouple storage from compute.
