At NTU FinTech Industry Day 2026, industry leaders explored how AI is transforming banking, investments and payments, and what its growing adoption could mean for financial institutions, everyday customers and future professionals.
During the “Future of FinTech in the Age of AI” panel, #NTUsg alumnus and Moomoo Singapore CEO Jeyson Ng highlighted AI’s potential to democratise investing by making institutional-grade tools and insights more accessible to everyday investors.
Fellow alumnus and FOMO Pay co-founder Zack Yang emphasised that “the real differentiator is the curiosity to question” AI-generated answers, while BNY’s Yeow Yew Fei underscored the importance of critical thinking, creativity and integrity in using AI responsibly.
The discussion also examined the need for safeguards, accountability and human oversight as AI becomes increasingly integrated into financial services.
Organised by NTU’s School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, the event brought together industry leaders and professionals to explore AI, Web3 and the future of global financial infrastructure.
